Movement & Mindfulness

Simple steps to gain more presence in your daily life.

When we work together, not only will we focus on nourishing your body with whole foods, but also on developing an exercise routine that you enjoy and incorporating mindfulness practices.

My Movement Philosophy: Make exercise fun!

Exercise doesn’t have to be something you just feel like you have to do or something that you dread. There are so many ways to get moving that are fun! When we design your exercise routine, it will include activities that you actually enjoy doing. Is it yoga, dancing, hiking, tennis, rock climbing? Let’s find out and fit that into your schedule!

What is Mindfulness?

  • Bringing your awareness to the present moment

  • Practicing mindfulness doesn’t have to look like sitting in meditation for 20 minutes. Many people often feel like they have to put themselves in a defined box of what practicing mindfulness is, but there are many other ways besides meditating. I encourage you to think of activities where you feel very present. Where your mind isn’t wandering, thinking about what happened before or what is going to happen next.

  • This can look different for everyone, but some activities that many people find mindful are playing an instrument, creating art, going for a walk, cooking, and so many other things! As we work together, we will incorporate mindful activities into your routine to help you manage stress and feel more present.
